With the DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certification as well as the MGMT and DAR certificates we have proven our efficiency and our high standards. Our customers include companies from the mechanical engineering and tank construction, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, wind energy, rail vehicles, plant engineering and steel construction sectors.

Every company is based on the strength of its employees.
Therefore, it is important to us to continuously train our employees. Training cours-es and personal development courses are therefore an integral part of the corpo-rate culture at C&M Stahl.

  • 1982: Foundation of the first company as C + M Chemikalien-Metall Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG by Karin Hoppe as shareholder of the GmbH and limited partner of the GmbH and Co. KG and by her children Susanne and Christian. Initially, the company was limited to the execution of drop shipments.
  • 1984: A branch office for drop shipments is opened in Siegen.
  • 1988: Change of the company name to C & M Stahlhandel GmbH & Co. KG.
  • 1990: Foundation of C & M Stahlservice GmbH & Co. KG by Winfried Hoppe as managing partner.
  • 1991: Start of production of C & M Stahlservice GmbH & Co. KG with initially four employees. A newly installed plasma torch enables the company to produce flame-cut parts in the plasma range in thicknesses from 2 to 30 mm and in the oxyfuel range in thicknesses from 30 to 100 mm.
  • 1993: Dissolution of the Siegen branch. Customer service in the Siegen area is now taken over by the office in Hamm.
  • 1995: QS certification according to DIN EN ISO 9002 by Germanischer Lloyd and the Dutch Certification Council.
  • 1996: Relocation of the C & M Stahlhandel GmbH & Co. KG, as well as the administration of C & M Stahlservice GmbH & Co. KG into the office building in Hamm, Klutestraße 9. 17 employees in total are now working in both companies to ensure that customer requirements are met quickly and satisfactorily.
  • 1998: Expansion of the staff by hiring the first trainees.
  • 2004: The oxy-fuel burning system is converted to digital control. The improved synchronization of the two drive motors enables even more precise adherence to the specified tolerances.
  • 2005: The plasma torch is also converted to digital control.
  • 2007: Christian Hoppe becomes managing partner of the companies.
  • 2014: Expansion with a sandblasting system for surface finishing.
  • 2015: Expansion by a chamfering robot, which can chamfer your flame-cut parts up to a chamfer depth of 200 mm.
  • 2018: Takeover by the Rosenberger group of companies.
  • 2019: Expansion of the service portfolio by 10,000 sqm of production area and acquisition of a new laser system for welding groups.
